2004 Texas 4-H State Outdoor Tournament

FITA

 

Location: Texas A&M University Riverside Campus
Date: Friday and Saturday, June 18th and 19th, 2004
Targets FITA five color faces- 80 cm for short ranges, 122 cm for long
Course of Fire: Three (3) ends of six arrows at each of the longer ranges, and six (6) ends of three arrows at the shorter ranges in the order listed:

Seniors: 60, 50, 40, and 30 meters

Juniors: 50, 40, 30, and 20 meters

Sub Juniors: 30, 25, 20, and 15 meters

Clover Kids: 10 meters (122 cm target, 3 ends of 6 arrows)

Time Limits: Four (4) minutes per six (6) arrow end; Two (2) minutes per three (3) arrow end
Equipment: Binoculars or spotting scopes permitted as long as they do not interfere with other archers.

Recurve: Single sight pin or aperture, finger release only - NO sight level, string peep or additional marks.

Compound: Peak weight of 65 pounds or less, release aids, overdraw and release aid permitted with demonstrated competence, optical sights or multiple pins permitted - Drawing significantly above the line of flight to target is strictly prohibited

Current 4-H Archery rules and FITA rules apply

Scoring: Competitors score in groups as assigned by the match director, using a dual scoring system.  Archers will be assigned to a butte in their division by lottery.  Scorecards must agree before any arrow is touched
Equipment Inspection: All equipment is subject to inspection prior to the event and at the discretion of the match supervisor or program director
Coaching: Coaching on the shooting line or in the waiting area is NOT permitted
Spectator Area: Spectators will remain behind the spectator line while the event is being conducted.  The area between the spectator area and the waiting line is reserved for archers and their equipment.
